sweetgreen x blue hill = wastED salad

This summer, you can get your wastED fix in the form of a sweetgreen salad. We’ve partnered with sweetgreen to create a menu item that makes use of the salad chain's leftovers—discarded (but flavor-packed) ingredients like broccoli leaves, kale stems, and roasted bread butts.

sweetgreen's wastED salad is very much in the spirit of the original pop-up, proving that, with a little creativity and technique in the kitchen, the foods we consider 'waste' can have delicious applications.

The wastED salad is available for $8.60 at sweetgreen’s New York locations from July 28 through September 28. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to City Harvest.
