the "waste-meter"


Winnow, a London-based startup, has built a “waste-meter” that promises to cut restaurant waste in half by weighing produce and providing chefs with detailed reports about the what and why of food waste — and how much it’s costing the operation. The founders of Winnow hope that this new technology will act as an awareness builder: inspiring chefs to redesign menus, make changes in inventory rotations, or rethink food presentation.
